Analysis of Southern Blot data obtained with their restriction cut genomic DNA shows that two students (S2 ans S5) each have two restriction fragments detected, two students ( S3 and S6 ) each have three fragments and two students ( S1 and S4 ) each have one only. What does this demonstrate? (Assume that all the students are homozygous) a) How many alleles must there be for this gene and why? b) Which alleles do the different students probably have in their genomic DNA and why? • Show less
